Installation

Step 1:) Upload the module zip to backend.
Step 2:) Install it and configure the module according to your requirement
Step 3:) Create a new google search engine from https://cse.google.co.in/cse/
Step by step screenshots are available in product sheet of the module.
Step 4:) Copy the Search Engine ID
Step 5:) Paste the Search Engine ID on the configuration page of module.
Step 6:) Setup the search engine from the control panel according to the requirements.

2) Load result page if URL persist the query of the search.
3) Enable history of the search

5) Replace default prestashop search or keep both search active together.
6) Set new window for search result
7) Set your own custom message in multi-lang, in case of no result found.

Web Search Configuration
1) Enable or disable web search.
2) Set number of records to be searched per page.
3) Set orderby search

Image Search Configuration
1) Enable or disable image search.
2) Configure image search layout.
3) Configure image size.
4) Configure extensions of the images to be appeared on result.

Auto Complete Search Configuration
1) Enable or disable auto complete.
2) Set matching type for auto complete.
3) Set number of matched records to be appeared.

Recommandations

  • Web or image search are based on configuration done in your google.
  • If both are disabled then google custom search engine will not appear in your website.
  • Auto complete feature takes some times upto 2 or 3 days maximum to activate on your website.
