Modules allow to optimize your multilingual store for search engines. 1st one helps search crawlers correctly recognize store pages, translated to different languages. 2nd one removes language prefixes for the default language of store.

Does your single-language shop already work? You want to add new languages, but the URLs will change and SEO rankings will suffer - the language prefix is added, when there are two or more languages. Use the Delete Language Prefix module to avoid it. You do not loose the already acquired shop SEO Ranking when you make your store multilingual. All early indexed page URLs will be saved for default shop language:
- The module removes language prefixes for the default language of your store, for example, instead of http://site.com/en/index.php it will be http://site.com/index.php, as if the store remained monolingual!
The HrefLang Tag module adds to the store's code meta-tags alternate and hreflang useful for SEO promotion. With "hreflang" tag your search results will be shown up in the correct language, making sure that visitors land on the correct page.
Installation
The procedure of each module installation is standard! Modules can work in pairs or individually. Modules do not require any settings!
Recommandations
The Delete Language Prefix module uses overrides: make sure that the overrides are enabled in your shop.
