Installation
First of all, click “Add new module” at modules tab on back office. You will find it in the top right. After that, select packaged file you have downloaded and click “Upload file”. Now your module appears on modules list. Click on “Install”, and “Configure” next.
You can also unload .zip file and upload it into your modules directory. In this way you will install and configure module from modules admin.
Caractéristiques
This module allows the client to perform advanced searches with elegant suggestions of products with image, product name, reference, short description, default category, manufacturer, supplier, quantity available, price and button add to cart.
The search block can be positioned in 8 different positions:
- Top of the page.
- Nav 1.
- Nav 2.
- Content section (above).
- Main content section (above).
- Left column.
- Right column.
- Home page content.
From the configuration of the module it is possible to indicate several parameters that you can enable to display in the suggestions:
- Product image.
- Product name.
- Product reference.
- Short description.
- Default category.
- Manufacturer.
- Supplier.
- Stock available.
- Price.
- Button Add to the cart.
This module can use 2 different search engines. It is possible to use PrestaShop's own search or the internal search that incorporates this module.
With the search engine of PrestaShop the parameters indicated in the administration are used, in "Preferences -> Search".
For the internal search of this module it is possible to indicate in which fields of the product you should search to show the suggestions. In this case, it is possible to enable or disable:
- Product name (required).
- Product reference.
- Short description.
- Description.
- Default category.
- Manufacturer.
- Supplier.
- Consider products with stocks or not.
It is also possible to change the sorting method.
Suggestions and search results can be sorted by:
- Product name.
- Product price.
- Product creation date.
- Product modified date.
- Position within the category.
- Product reference.
In ascending or descending format.
You can add words in a black list so that they are not considered in the search engine.
From the configuration of this module you can also indicate the maximum number of suggestions to show.
Recommandations
This module is fully compatible with themes that have been developed with the Bootstrap 3.0+ technology. With other templates may need to do some adaptation.
