  • Can I get the synchronization to be bidirectional between 2 shops?
Yes. With the appropriate configuration of the module it is possible to synchronize the stocks in both directions.
  • Can the module be configured to update the stock in more than one shop?
Yes. You can configure as many shops as you need to update.
  • Can the module be used between shops with different versions of Prestashop?
Yes. The module is compatible with all versions of Prestashop between 1.5 and 1.7.
  • When are the stocks updated?
Before any stock update standard event, such as: manual update of stock on the product editing screen, advanced stock movements, order confirmation, bulk update by Prestashop CSV Import, etc.
  • Do you need to set up a scheduled task to update the stock?
No. The inventory update is done in real time as the changes in the stock of products in the shop are happening.
  • How do I configure the module so that when I modify the existence of a product in shop A I also update the inventory in shop B?
First, in the configuration screen of the shop B module, generate a Shop Access Key. Also define the Match Field and the shops to update (in case you have the multi-shop active). Subsequently, in shop A go to the Synchronization Shops section and add a new shop specifically the URL of shop B and its Access Key defined above.
  • Can I specify by what field of products and combinations the match will be made to update the stock?
Yes. You can choose one of the following fields in the module configuration to make the match: Reference, Supplier reference, UPC, EAN-13 or ISBN (only available from PrestaShop 1.7).
  • How does the module match to update the stock?
First, the module searches if there is a combination that has the same value according to the Match Field configured. If you find it then update the stock of that combination. If you do not find any combination then look similarly among the products. If you find a product that matches, then update the stock of that product.
  • What happens with products and combinations that have no defined value in the Match Field configured in the module?
The module needs the Match Field to have value in each product and / or combination to be able to make the match and then update the stock. If this field is empty, no update action will be taken.
  • What happens if my products have defined values for the Match Field but not their daughter combinations?
In this case only the stocks of the products will be updated. The specific combinations can not be updated because they do not meet the requirement of the previous point. To update specific combinations, it is recommended to generate a value for the Match Field of each combination. For example, if you have a product with reference number ABC123 you could generate reference numbers for your combinations: ABC123-1, ABC123-2 ... or ABC123-A, ABC123-B ... or similarly ABC123-RED, ABC123- BLUE, ABC123-GREEN ...
  • Within a multi-shop, can I define in which specific shops I want to update the stock?
Yes. You can select in which shops you want to update the stocks using the Update Stocks in Shops parameter in the module configuration. By default, all shops are selected.
